2022 Somalian Elephant Fine Silver 1oz coin. Minted by the Bavarian State Mint, Germany on behalf of the government of Somalia, the Somalian Elephant fine silver coin series was first released in 2004 and is a very well known and sought after coin. Each year, the design on the Elephant coin is changed and updated, making these coins particularly popular with investors and collectors.
Part of the ‘African Wildlife’ coin series, this Somalian Elephant 1oz silver coin features an image of a mother elephant with her baby walking through the African savanna with a large sun shining in the background. Inscribed along the top of the obverse are the words “AFRICAN WILDLIFE” and the bottom displays the coin weight and purity.
The front of each coin features an image of the Somalian coat of arms depicting a leopard rampant on each side of a shield. The words ‘Somali Republic’ are written at the top along with the year of minting, 2022 written on the side. The coin’s face value of 100 Shillings is written at the bottom of the coin.
Coin is in perfect untouched condition.
