The reverse of this interesting silver round shows a scene with a small town businesses next to a bank and set behind a weighing scales balancing the exchange of bread for currency. The forefront depicts hands shaking in agreement. The words ‘Free Enterprise’ are inscribed along the top of and the weight and purity shown along the bottom.
Adam Smith was an Scottish economist and lawyer and is considered the father of modern capitalism. Adam Smith also declared that market competition was a key component of free enterprise that fosters innovation and advancement.
