An inhabitant of the great white north, the Canadian Bison is a well known mammal in Canadian history, for their strength, size and what they gave in the way of fur and meat to the indigenous population. Known as the ‘gentle giant’ this impressive bovine is an impressive feature of this unique 1.25oz 9999 fine silver coin.
The obverse of this coin features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II set against a background of fine radial lines. The Queen’s title is inscribed above her head and the denominational value of $8, eight dollars, is set below.
On the reverse is a finely detailed profile of the majestic bison against a blank background with the words “Canada 2018” featured above and “Fine Silver 1 1/4 OZ Argent Pur” featured below.
